Who I am
Hi, I am Dana Vince, Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Mountain Heart Wellness.
For more than 25 years, I’ve walked alongside individuals and couples as they’ve navigated pain, trauma, growth, and healing.
I’ve spent much of my career helping people untangle relationship trauma, rediscover connection, and build lives rooted in meaning and emotional well-being.
Over time, I began to notice something powerful — the same principles that helped people heal emotionally also showed up in the way we move, eat, rest, and care for our bodies.
It is my mission to help women give themselves permission to care for themselves as fiercely and reliably as they care for others.
Because when you feel strong, nourished, and peaceful in your own body — you ripple that wellness into every part of your life.

The Heart Behind Mountain Heart Wellness
I’ve been passionate about health and movement most of my life.
I started lifting weights when I was in my 20s and it’s still an integral part of my wellbeing.
I learned discipline and grit through running — first in the Army, later through miles on mountain trails and ultra running.
Over the years, movement and nutrition became my lifelines — the tools that kept me grounded, confident, and emotionally well. As I grew older, I saw more clearly how my physical health directly shaped my mental and emotional resilience.
When I cared for my body, my mind followed. I felt grounded, clear, and capable.
That realization inspired me to integrate mind–body wellness into my therapy practice — to help women rebuild both emotional and physical strength through gentle, realistic steps toward self-care and self-trust.
That’s how Mountain Heart Wellness was born.

What Mountain Heart Means to Me
The mountains have always been my place of renewal.
Climbing them reminds me of what’s possible when you keep showing up, one step at a time — even when the path feels steep.
Standing at a summit, breathing in the quiet air, I feel a deep sense of peace and perspective.
That’s the energy I bring to my work:
Grounded, patient, and heart-centered.
Therapy that helps you pause, find your footing, and reconnect to your inner strength — the same way you would on a mountain trail.
The climb may be challenging, but it’s always worth it.
Healing is the same — one steady, courageous step at a time.
